Life Of Sin / Dream Strike - Technical Itch, Penetration (UK). Score: 4 out of 5.
Boh!!! If you haven't heard this track yet then you haven't lived. Welcome to the evolution or should I say the near future of
drum n bass. Dark, Drums, yeah yeah yeah! Oh and MC Jakes puts the spin on Life of Sin. "I live a life of sin and keep smilin" Dream
Strike is a something a little more commonly heard by this dnb genius. Hard techstep that would stop anybody in their tracks and
force them to cream their pants. - Quickster

Out There / Music in Me - DJ Rap & Konverter, IntaTalent (USA). Score: 4.25 out of 5.
Straight off of DJ Rap's new sister label to Proper Talent, IntaTalent brings two new tunes to the table. The first, Out There is a
breaks track on the super funky side of things, with an electro pinched voice leading you in and another vocal nicely riding along
the top. The jungle tune on the flipside, Music in Me is dark, and ultra aggressive with a guitar-esque melody. The short vocal bit
is a pleasant addition to the overly rough-edged track. This tune at the moment has kids running to dance floors! - Jade Bassix
Hot Sh$t - DJ Dhanu Feat. K-Loc, Rocco Recordings (UK). Score: 3.75 out of 5.
New comer DJ Dhanu's debut release off of her own label, Rocco Recordings is starting to move dancing feet across the pond in the
USA, and beyond for that matter. Hot Sh$t, is a drum and bass tune that starts out with familiar and simple beats, but moves quickly
along with the onset of the funky-filled bassline, and into a break down of hip hop influenced sounds. The tune is rather light,
fun, and mellow, but very nicely blends together the elements of hip hop, funk, and drum and bass with the help of vocalist/rapper
K-Loc. - Jade Bassix
Mutationz III / Landslide - Kemal / Matrix, DSC14 (UK). Score: 4 out of 5.
Kemal brings his signature futuristic stylings to Mutationz III. This is dark, heavy track, with an overlay of computer based sounds.
Strong, driving beats are persistently felt throughout this one, while the growling bassline keeps you in for the long haul. Landslide
is just what we'd expect from Matrix, tough, soulful, unique, and deep. Although this track isn't what you'd imagine to be played at
a primetime spot it still has the inner workings of a decent tune designed to bring the evening to a great party to a
close. - Jade Bassix
Slinky / Junglist - Concord Dawn, Heavy Rotation (UK). Score: 4 out of 5.
The fast uprising producers known as Concord Dawn are up to it yet again. Slinky provides the sound that first captured my attention
to this duo. The lead-in of this tune brings in a beautiful, emotional melody that floats into punching beats, and on to a fitting
rolling bassline. Junglist proves itself to be a nice complimentary addition on the flip. This tune still provides the moody synth
sounds we're accustomed to hearing from Concord Dawn, but a nice, evil melody takes place throughout, while subtle vocals hit in all
the right places. The beats are full of punch, and the drums are heavy and the track overall is full of a deep, dark, rolling
bassline. - Jade Bassix
Heavy Roller / Everything - Basic Unit, Frontline (UK). Score: 4 out of 5.
Basic Unit's Frontline debut, Heavy Roller is exactly that; dark, heavy and bouncing bassline and samples set the stage as the
track moves along and builds slowly. Subtle effects and toned down beats are the idea and emphasis here. On the flip, a more
danceable, Everything provides a more atmospheric feel, complete with smooth male vocals, complementary jazz influenced sounds, and
even a hint at some tribal melodies. These tracks aren't hard nor fancy, but just enough to get the groove and good vibes going on
all over the dance floor. - Jade Bassix
