1. You have a new mix CD out, At Close Range. What can we expect from this that is different from past mixes? Actually the mix cd has been out for a while. Nothing special just a little something for the car ride.

2. What Artists inspire you? Anyone who is persistent and cuts through all the bullshit and remains focused and determined to make a name for themselves without ruffling the feathers of their peers is an inspiration to me. Its admirable to see someone start at the bottom and work their way up the old fashion way, and do it with a smile. There a lot of people who have been paying their dues for a while and are now seeing some reward and respect for that, like hive, like gridlok, like all the philly guys, everyone there, kaos, karl k, jae, armanni, sharpness, mason, trust, the whole lot of them. People like evol intent, who have been at it for a long time. And loads of others who have just stuck to their guns and rose above the land of mediocrity. Thats who inspires me.

3. How did you come up with your name? It was given to me. Long story. I was said to be like an ak47 on the 1200's because I play so fast.

4. Explain the current drum & bass scene in Florida for those of us who've yet to experience it. Well... In Orlando, there is a weekly called torque, it's been on for 5 years now, and is a Monday night and is the only worthwhile thing to check. Everywhere else has their own respected scenes and promoters who fight the good fight week after week.

5. Do you think you will stick to Drum & Bass as your main focus or have you thought of branching out into other genres? Drum and bass is the only form of music I feel so passionate about, so yeah I am definitely keeping my focus on the music I love.

6. In your opinion, how does the scene in the USA differ from other countries? There are so many variants to that question. Ok, lets talk abut the uk or Europe rather than being so general. The main difference is that the music is younger here and as long as some of us have been pushing it here, it is still much newer here. Only in the last few years have Americans, through the internet and other things been able to be 100 percent caught up to what was being made for the most part, and only in these last few years have Americans been able to bring something to the table that can compete or exceed. Another big difference between us and them, are, well, we are Americans, and you know how we are all viewed as loud and arrogant and ignorant and most opinionated, well that rings true with the fans of dnb, and some younger dj's. The thing is, we seem to be going through this phase where people are trying to regulate their coolness. For example, whoever the newest artists that have a few good tunes in a row, the elitist crews jump on their dick and diss everything else, and diss the people who aren't familiar with these newer tunes or artists. I am not saying this goes on all over the usa, but by the look at some of the various message boards, a lot of things are really blatant. All in all, I think there is a lot of passion here for the music, but a lot of people are very selfish with it and possessive, and like to keep it all to themselves, its hard to explain, but before people would get mad that nobody was at a show, then those same people get mad because too many people that aren't like them are now at the show.

7. What are your all-time top tunes? Oh man, that would go way back. One is shades of rythym - sound of eden. One is george Kelley - sacred. One is dj nut nut - special dedication, one is rude and deadly - mash dem down. One is droppin science volume 1. one is eoad - move me. One super old one is creative thieves - nasty rythym (sasha's mfi mix). Or even peshay - music, bukem - atlantis,, and I guess more recent things like shimon- hush hush, swift - zion, and shit like that.

8. What's the craziest situation you have encountered while DJing? Hahaha well, even if I could remember a single situation that would stand out, it certainly wouldn't be anything I could tell anyone, hahahaaa.

9. What was the last club night or show you attended and what did you think of it? Ummm the last thing I went to and didn't work at was a friend of mine does Sunday night at house of blues in Orlando, and some house guy danny howells was playing. It was cool, fun, definitely a different vibe from dnb.

10. What interests do you have outside of the music world? Well. I play a lot of golf if I can, and I play a lot of poker with friends. I try to go shopping a lot and try to make the most of my life. I am concerned with better health lately even though I smoke and drink a lot, I still like to go to the gym several times a week just to do what I can to be a bit healthier.
